Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

IdeaForge is an AI-powered platform that helps users discover, validate, and develop business ideas using market signal analysis and generative AI. Features include the Opportunity Scanner, AI Validation, and AI Co-Founder chat, available on Free, Pro, and Enterprise tiers as described on our pricing page.

2. Important: AI-generated content is not advice

All scores, ideas, validations, and recommendations generated by IdeaForge are produced by AI models and are for informational purposes only. They are not financial, legal, tax, or professional business advice, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any business or investment decision. You are responsible for independently verifying any market claims, figures, or recommendations before acting on them. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or commercial viability of any AI-generated output.

3. Accounts

You must be 18 or over and provide accurate information when registering. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [Contact email — not yet set up] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Free tier: limited to 5 AI calls per day and basic idea generation, as described on our pricing page.
• Pro (£19/month) and Enterprise tiers are billed in advance on a recurring basis via Stripe. Prices are shown inclusive/exclusive of VAT as applicable.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time via your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We offer a 14-day refund window from initial purchase for Pro/Enterprise plans; after that, payments are non-refundable except as required by UK consumer law.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent free-tier usage limits (e.g. via multiple accounts or automated scripts)
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the platform without permission
• Use AI outputs to impersonate real people or misrepresent AI-generated content as human-verified fact

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

• You retain ownership of ideas, notes, and content you input into IdeaForge.
• AI-generated outputs (business plans, names, scores) are licensed to you for your own use; we don't claim ownership over ideas you develop using the platform, but we don't guarantee exclusivity or originality of AI-generated suggestions, which may resemble outputs given to other users.
• The IdeaForge name, logo, and platform design remain our intellectual property.

7. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe for payments and Anthropic for AI processing. We're not responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes originating from these providers, though we'll aim to keep the service running smoothly around them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdeaForge and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profits or lost business opportunities) arising from your use of the service or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or extended inactivity, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
